I would have given this 5 stars except the installation guide did not have enough details for a heat pump system with aux heat...7 wires worth. Plus, an important jump reference in the guide was a few pages off. Had to call the 24-hr. 800 number to get into the system setup. They were VERY helpful; turned out one button had to be held down more than the guide indicated - about 15+ seconds rather than 5 seconds. The thermostat has worked flawlessly and we are pleased with the operation and options. Very satisfied with this versatile unit, and the low price, makes this is a very best buy!!!

This was easy to install and program. My old thermostat kept track of how long the A\C or heat ran each day, a feature I miss. The backlit light is perfect when and if you want to make a adjustment late at night. I like this product and recommend it.

I really like the size of the screen. It is easy to read. My old digital thermostat had a tiny screen. It was very hard to read. The Honeywell RTH7500D has a nice large screen that is easy to read and easy on the eyes. It was easy for me to install as I was replacing it with a similar digital thermostat. I'm very happy with the Honeywell RTH7500D. The only change I would have made is going to a touch screen which is more of my personal preference. Read all the directions first, before the install.

The product fulfilled all expectations. Now my house temperature is more constant and in the limits I have prescribed. It helped evening out the temperature between first and second floor. Only drawback is that the AC Compressor now starts more often than before, but I guess it is to be expected to better control temperature.

I have a simple system, no heat pump, so I decided I would install this unit myself. I had a few questions about wiring, and the helpline was indeed very helpful. The gentleman assured me I was doing everything right, and even told me how to program the unit for my specific needs as a Florida resident. I have programmed the unit for each day, and this unit's accuracy is spot on. I would recommend this unit for anyone who wants advanced features w/o needing a touch screen to program.

Had the thermostat professionally install by my electrician back in May. It works well; very easy to use. You can adjust temperature up or down with a simple touch if you need to.

I put this in at the recommendation of my brother who is in the HVAC business. They service multi-million dollar homes & this is the thermostat that is used in most of them to keep their homes comfortable with minimal adjustment. you can just set this thing up and forget about it. It has 4 different settings for each day of the week, for heat and cool.(Wake, Leave, Home, Sleep) My old one had settings for weekdays and weekends only which is a problem if you weekends don't always fall on Saturday and Sunday. the only time I need to adjust this one is when the weather changes drastically & I switch to heat or cool. It was simple to install and set up. the mounting holes lined up perfectly with the one I replaced so no new holes were needed.

It is very easy to install. It replaced a 15 yr old Honeywell. I always use a great thermostat to spend my MONEY...!!

Of course, we all know that real men don't need heat, and even if you do, you ought to be fine with a lever, a spring, and a vial of mercury. So I felt a little silly ordering this. But once I got over that, I realized that this is a truly great thermostat. Here's why: 1: It's confusing - anything except a temporary override requires several screens and sequences of commands. It's enough to deter even the most determined women, who are undoubtedly trying to make the place into some kind of "heat nest". 2: It's lockable! That's right, you can lock everyone out from modifying the thermostat! And even if you don't want to go that far, you can set limits on what the temperature can be set to. Awesome! 3: And this is the best one of all.... You can program it to show a different temperature than the actual temperature!!! For obvious reasons, this is the best feature ever built into any thermostat since the dawn of time. It takes some digging to get through the manuals to figure out how to do it, but it's worth it. Here's how a conversation about an actual temperature of 68 degrees might go: Woman: "Honey, it's awfully cold in here, can we turn up the heat?" Man: "It's already 85 degrees in here." Woman: "It can't be... (gets up and checks thermostat)... Hmmph, I guess you're right." Man: "Maybe you should take some more thyroid medicine. And while you're up, make me a sandwich." Ask yourself - does it really get any better than that? As much as I love this thermostat, it could be improved by having some sort of fingerprint scanner, or retina ID device on it, allowing only certain people access to the thermostat. But since no competing models yet offer this feature, this is about as good as it gets for keeping YOUR castle at YOUR temperature.

We received the thermostat timely. It was very easy to install and a very simple and efficient unit. I would definitely recommend this unit to people.

This unit seemed like sort of a gimmick, but it actually works. It took a bit of set-up and time to get it acclimated/calibrated to the room. I would recommend the unit if you have an air conditioner without econ mode.

This product works as advertized. I use it to control a solar heater on my swimming pool pump.

This is just the ticket for those of us with a window evaporative cooler. Most heaters and air conditioners have thermostats built in but evaporative coolers have none. Now I can sleep through the nite without waking to turn off or turn on the unit.

I have 2 dogs and 2 dog houses. Prior to this winter, only one of the dog houses had a heating mat as one dog is furrier and fatter and didn't really need extra warmth. However, the fat dog started switching dog houses and the skinny dog would be freezing in the non-heated house. We put mats in both houses but wanted a way so that they didn't have to stay on all the time but only when the weather was cold (also so we could avoid going outside twice a day to switch them on and off). I bought this thermostat and set it up to come on whenever the temperature dropped into the 40's. If it warmed up the next morning it would go off automatically. It solved my problem and my dogs stayed warm! I hope it keeps working for the next few years.

I bought 3 of these programmable outlet thermostats last summer and I just bought 2 more for this summer. I use them to control 5 room air conditioners have built into the walls. Each of the a/c's did not have an economy setting. Once the room was cool, the fan on the a/c stayed on all the time. The temperature controls on the a/c's were also unreliable and inconsistent. I got these thermostats to control the a/c's, make the temperature more consistent and keep my electric bills down. The WIN100's were very easy to program and work perfectly. When the room reaches the programmed temperature, the outlet shuts the a/c off and it kicks back on when needed. Before, the fan on the a/c ran all the time. I can also program what times I want the a/c's to run and what temperatures I want during those times. There's settings for morning, midday, evening and nightime. Keeps my 14 year old daughter from leaving her a/c on all day at 68 degrees!!! When I want to open the windows, I just use the on/off button the side of the WIN100. When its in the off position, the ac doesn't come on at all. There is a battery backup so if you lose power, you don't have to reprogram the unit. This also makes it easier to program, since you can enter your programming when the WIN100 is out of the electrical outlet where it's easier to see, and then you can plug it in after. (keeps you from crawling on the floor to program it!!). And the WIN100 has an override feature. If you want the room temporarily cooler or warmer without changing the programs, you can just use the arrow keys to raise or lower the temperature on the outlet. I highly recommend this outlet thermostat. It also works the heaters too but I only use it for my airconditioners.

I've had this thermostat for nearly two years and have found it to be easy to program and use. I like that I can have it turn on and off in the morning and in the evening, so I save on energy costs during the day.

Have had this thermostat for about 6 months and am loving it. It's reliable and easy to program. Great extra features, too, like the adjustable filter change reminder and the energy monitor. Program 4 cycles per day, and if you want to use the same programming on Tuesday as you did for Monday, you just hit the "copy" button and it automatically inputs those settings for you. No sitting there and entering the same 10 button sequence 5 times for Monday - Friday. Highly recommend the WP9000TS Wallplate for Lux Products TX9000TS. Just added this for $2, free shipping, and it definitely enhances the asthetic appeal (if there is such a thing for a thermostat!). Buy it when you purchase the thermostat, so you don't have to take the thermostat off later to add the wall plate. ******************** UPDATE - JULY 6, 2010 ******************** Have started having problems with the thermostat about two weeks ago (Have had it since January 2010). Now, when I try to program it, after pressing the touchscreen 3-4 times (for example, while trying to program the current time), the screen resets (as in, all characters on the screen light up and stay lit, and I can't do anything else). The problem has persisted. The only thing the thermostat will now do is hold a set temperature, and even then, it resets after a day or two and does nothing until the batteries are pulled out for a few minutes. Will let you know how the returns process goes. The owner's manual says it has a 3-year warranty instructs me to return it to Amazon; however, Amazon won't let me return it because it has been more than 90 days. Contacted Lux directly and we'll see what they say.

I can't say enough about this product. bought a two story 2854 sq ft house. Got the first electric bill and it was $370 (bulging eyes). At that moment i went online and bought two Lux TX9000TS after reading reviews for the two units in my home. my next bill with those two Lux units controlling my a/c units the whole time was $125. that's almost a third of the cost of running the a/c units with the original controllers. it paid for itself in one month...

Delivered promptly just as promised. No issues to report and has been installed for a little over two weeks. Love the light!

I have been using this thermostat for a month and it works well, is easy to adjust and provides data regarding furnace filters and time running. I highly recommend it.
