With a device like the P3 International P4400 Kill A Watt Electricity Usage Monitor it is easy to save on your electric bill by finding out what appliances are the energy eaters. When electronic devices are plugged in they are using energy, even when they are not in use. The P4400 will help you determine how much energy these devices are using and from there you can decide if you should continue to leave them plugged in when they are not being used.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 20% of the average electric bill comes from these items that are left plugged in when not in use. This also includes items that are in standby mode. To reduce this unnecissary energy consumption plug any electronic into the P4400 and the LDC screen will tell you how much energy the electronic is using. The Kill A Watt also calculates voltage, line frequency, current, and power factor. You can essentially calculate your electric bill before you receive it in the mail. Saving energy means saving money and that is the benefit to using an Electricity Usage Monitor.

Reviews

Kill A Watt meter works exactly as advertised. I have been using it for a month now and I am still pleased. My only issue is that you can not fit the Kill A Watt meter into a normal 2 outlet plug and still use both outlets.

This thing is great, and it helped me realize how much energy my lamps and stereo were using. It was SHOCKING

This device couldn't be simpler to use and works great. I found an online calculator I use to to enter the time the unit was recording, the amount of kwh used during that time and the rate of my electricity that the electric company charges me, then it spits out how much it costs per month and year. Just search for kill a watt calculator in google and you'll find lots of these. I'm amazed to see that my 42inch tv uses almost as much electricity as my full size freezer! I highly recommend this product.

This is a piece of junk, you can't view the data unless you have it plugged in, so for me, when I plug it into small or hard to get at places, or when I use bigger plugs (like the Air conditioner which the plug covers the display on the unit) I can't even read it, and if you unplug it, it loses all the data you were looking at. So even if you can manage to read it while plugged in, it doesn't really tell you anything useful, it just has meaningless stats. Waste of money.

This device is so great, I wanted to see which appliances were pulling power when they were off. The Watt/Hour function is great, it will tell you how long the device has been plugged in to Kill A Watt and how many watts it has used. It is also a great tool for measuring Amps if you want to run an item off a DC inverter. A Must Have for any house hold.
