Electric Scooter Goes 45 MPH and Up To 45 Miles Without a Recharge
by Rob on March 24, 2008

I travel about 4 miles round trip each day to and from the subway. It costs me $4 a day to park my car there, and the short trip is just murder on the engine. I’ve been giving a lot of thought lately to buying an electric scooter to make the trip, weather permitting. It would have much less impact on the environment and would save me $4 a day. My research brought me to the
EVT Z-20. Here are the specs:
Category: Electric Powered Motorcycle
Body: Aerodynamic
Top Speed: 45 Miles per Hour (72.42 KPH)*
Range: 30 to 45 Miles (48 to 72 Km) W/out Recharging
Motor: 2500-Watts 60-Volt Brushless Hub Motor
Electric consumption per complete charge: 1.8 – 2.2 KWh
Noise level: Silent
Emission: Zero
Contaminants: Zero
The cost is $2,499 plus shipping.
